Amy Childs wades into election debate to blast benefit 'spongers' - including her own aunt

The former TOWIE star said she's fed up of seeing her cash going to people who don't want to work

Amy Chillds: Wading into the election debate
Former TOWIE star Amy Childs has waded into the election debate to blast benefit 'spongers'.
The 24-year-old said she's fed up with the benefits system for encouraging scrounging and claims too much tax goes to those who can work, but don't want to.
"Our country needs to be working. Money isn't going to come out of nowhere. I am in the highest tax bracket. But why am I paying 45% tax and doing all of this work to pay for people that are having loads of children?"
Amy, who is said to be worth £3.5million after launching a string of lucrative businesses since appearing on hit ITV show TOWIE, even took aim at her own aunt.

Speaking to The Sun, she added: "I love my auntie more than anything but she lives off benefits. She has nine children and that is her life. Sometimes people like that upset me.
"I look at her and she's had a lot of money from the Government. And there's me working my a*** off. I meet her friends and they're on benefits. Some don't want to work. It comes down to laziness."
She also hit out at Labour's proposed mansion tax, saying she's not happy and shouldn't have to pay when she works so hard.
