The legendary star, 71, has grown close to Melanie Hamrick in the past year after the death of girlfriend L'Wren Scott
He might be 71 but Sir Mick Jagger can still bag a girl more than half his age as he's proved recently.
The Rolling Stones legend was spotted out and about with Melanie Hamrick, 27, for the first time in months in New York as they left a building together and looked very happy in each other's company.
Sir Mick faced a backlash when he was photographed with the dancer on a balcony in Zurich just several weeks after his long-term girlfriend L'Wren Scott committed suicide in March 2014.
Pals claimed it was the star's way of getting over the tragedy but some of her family were NOT pleased to see him moving on so quickly after the fashion designer's death.
The rocker and new lover Melanie were seen getting into a chauffeur-driven car in the Manhattan area of the city recently and the dark-haired beauty was beaming from ear-to-ear.
Wrapped up in a black coat and carrying a bright blue bag and another black bag, she was helped into the car by a driver, while Mick, dressed in a flamboyant scarf and navy coat, kept his head down as he stepped into the vehicle.
Despite some members of L'Wren's family being unhappy about their relationship, her brother, Randy Bambrough, slammed suggestions they may have started dating while he was still in a relationship with his sister.
The pair are believed to have first met backstage at a Rolling Stones gig in Tokyo on March 6, 2014, just a few weeks before L'Wren was found dead in her apartment.
Randy told New York Daily News in a statement: "Usually I ignore these stories, but to suggest that my sister committed suicide because of a false accusation that Mick was involved with another woman is completely ridiculous.
He added: "I continue to have a very warm relationship with Mick and have never questioned his love for L'Wren and how important she was in his life."
