The bubbly blonde has opened up about her friendship with her ex who was hooked on ketamine and lost all of his BB cash
Nikki Grahame has spoken of her sadness after former flame and Big Brother housemate Pete Bennett revealed he is now homeless.
The quirky blonde met the spiky-haired star during their time on the reality show in 2006 and it seemed like the perfect match until Pete dumped her after winning the £100,000 prize money, claiming she was too high maintenance.
He then ended up hooked on ketamine and lost the thousands the pair made through lucrative magazine and TV deals, finally admitting this week on Jeremy Kyle's show that he's sleeping on pal's sofas.
But Nikki and Pete DID patch things up and she claims they keep in touch, even going on a night out together last year when they met in his hometown of Brighton.
She exclusively told Mirror Celeb: "It makes me really, really sad to see where Pete is now in his life. We're still really good friends and met up with him just before Christmas.
"It was the pressure of the media that got to him but it was a long time ago and I don't hold grudges for what he said about me. I feel really sad for him and he told me he might go back and live with his mum in Normandy.
"It must be very difficult, not knowing where he's going to stay each night. It's the uncertainly, living out of a suitcase, he's hasn't got any money at all.
"He's struggled with his addiction, I had a fair idea when we were in the house but I didn't know he was on drugs during the audition process."
It was rumoured the pair made £250,000 from one magazine deal when they left the famous house but Nikki claims it was more like £50,000 and she bought her first property before selling it.
"My mum helped me, I bought a house and have now sold it and bought a new property in west London which will be ready in June," she explained.
"I did go on a few extravagant trips when we first made all of the money. I went to Dubai every year for about five years at Christmas with my whole family and it was a great experience.
"If I could do it all over again I would, we were living the life, it was amazing."
Nikki, 32, who is currently living in France with her boyfriend, described Pete as a "sweet guy" who was full of life the last time she saw him.
"He's a lovely person but he does live the party lifestyle, he hadn't had any sleep and went off to a rave when he left us that night," she said.
"I think maybe he needs to go and live with his mum for a while and spend time with family, France is wonderful and it would help him to get things sorted and he could maybe get a job."
